Every so often I decide that it might be fun to put together a meet up type of event. I have decided to try to do something on a somewhat grander scale than anything I've done before. I have decided that it would be great to organize a vintage type of event at the Huntington Library in San Marino. The Huntington is a combination of art museum and botanical garden. It is a place that I absolutely adore. It is the home of the Pinky and Blue Boy paintings to name a few. And it is a wonderful place to luxuriate in beautiful surroundings. I thought it would be an interesting idea to get together a group of people to go there, to dress in our PUG and vintage finery, to take lots of photos, to meet up with friends new and old and just to have a great time. Like Dapper Days or PUG Day at Disneyland this is not an official event of the Huntington. It is just an excuse to get together and have fun. I have a membership to The Huntington. And I have a number of free entry passes. It normally costs $23 to get in on weekends. For the first ten people who RSVP and then show up by 1 PM, I will give free entry passes from my personal stash. (At the time of this writing I have already given away two.) Any PUGster, vintage wearer, spouse, friend, etc is invited. Please just dress to impress. But remember there is lots of walking involved so please wear comfortable shoes. And when our visit is completed those who are interested could join me at The Langham Hotel in Pasadena for a cocktail in elegant hotel bar.
