Create a Facebook page or group, and keep your personal profile 100% private (you can put all info on a Facebook profile as only view-able by specific people) 

I wouldn't do photobucket really unless you're using it to submit images 

Twitter can get you a LOT of attention, but unless you're trying to be a pro model, it's not really worth the time. Expect to get about 2-10 followers per hour of effort with about 60% of those being perverts who hit  you up with 'Hey baby... got any nudes"  type messages

Facebook I would say go for, you can have a lot of fun with a page or a group (the latter is more interesting because people join rather than 'liking' and thus are more interactive) 

Instagram I really can't say about because I don't actually have one. Good luck and have fun with new social accounts!

You do if you are trying to promote yourself as a model I.E. tweeting photos of yourself - on the other hand if you just tweet normal stuff I've never gotten any that way. But most of the real models promoting their photos and so get LOTS of that crap

I have Facebook, Instragram, LinkedIn, Pintrest, YouTube, Google+, and two Twitter and WordPress accounts.

My FB and main Twitter are locked down, for my own security vis-a-vis my ex; nothing else is because nothing else reveals as much as those, and even then some of my FB posts are public because they need to be e.g. when sharing about lost/stolen/found dogs etc.

FB is still the main social networking site, because so many people know about it, everything else can be a bit...clique-y and/or specialist, or in the case of YT huge with a lot of dross!

I have a regular muggle Facebook account and of course Tahitia Belle Fille has her Facebook page, a Facebook fan page, a twitter account, a gmail account, an instagram account and a Wordpress account, plus of course a Model Mayhem page too.

I'm thinking about starting up a tumblr account but I'm not really sure now best to use it.

I completely agree with everything Jessica said, you should share exactly what you want to share and when you want to share it, your social media pages are about you and how you want to express yourself :) Privacy is a big concern though so if you're not comfortable in any way then there's nothing wrong with taking a pass on some of those sites.
