New PUG Ideas for 2014 :)
Hey guys! It's me Tahitia and I wanted to start up a new thread on a few items from around the web that maybe we're hoping PUG will be able to stock in 2014.
Of course the powers at be at Pinup Girl Clothing have done an absolutely amazing job for 15 years so whatever 2014 does have in store I'm sure it's going to be awesome and that we'll just love what they have to offer.
Seriously guys, keep doing what you've been doing all along and you're going to have an awesome year ahead.
So with that said here are a few ideas of mine for specific items and or entire brands that I'm hoping PUG stocks in the year ahead.
1940's Dance Hall Dresses
These are the kind of dresses that you would have seen girls wearing for a night out at the neighbourhood dance hall on a Saturday night.
These are a couple dresses that Tara Starlet was selling a little more than a year ago and although I have absolutely no research and data to back this up I'm positive that there'd be a huge demand for dresses like these. They're actually not all that different from the Colette Dress's so PUG's already had experience in selling these before.

An Ultra High-Waisted Strapless Vintage Swimsuit
Again this is entirely something of my own wanting but again I'm positive that this is a design that PUG would have ZERO trouble selling out in a heartbeat.
A VERY high waisted strapless swimsuit, whether it's in solid or pattern (I think I'd prefer a beautiful blue like our illustrated friend is sporting but PUG's always had some awesome patterns in the past for swimwear).
Now to be honest I think that you could even go higher in the waist than in the illustration above. I'd be all for a pair of bottoms that went just a few inches shy of the top, which I guess would make it the exact opposite of a tankini from a few years ago wouldn't it? :)
What Katie Did
Okay now this one is pretty self explanitory ;) This year PUG added some great vintage lingerie to their catalogue and I think that What Katie Did could be a just as good addition, even if they only stocked one or two lines of theirs.
The picture above is from their Dot Lingerie line, that's just one line that I think would fit right in here on PUG.
So there you have it, just a few little ideas of mine for things that I think would fit in great here on Pinup Girl Clothing. Either way I just know that 2014 is going to be the best year ever for PUG and I can't wait to see what the powers at be have in store for us all!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaan you've completely left me speechless Shy Anne! Yes Yes and YES it would be incredible if PUG could stock these, I can picture a photoshoot already with the middle one, I love the vintage robe look showing just a peak of lingerie underneath :)

the one in the middle is actually a repro brand so you can buy it now,
the brand is Betty Blues and they have a lot of really amazing really frightfully expensive stuff. That particular gown for instance is $413 lol

This is another great topic. Sorry that I am late to the party. Now I am going to ask, CAN YOU TOP THIS?
What I am referring to are things to wear on your head. I know that PUG stocks lots of hair accessories. But how about actual hats? I must admit that I already have too many vintage hats and a few repro hats. But I know that PUG could probably find some great ones to stock or even to manufacture.
And now I will be going way over the top. LOL! How about vintage style wigs? Given my situation, I can't grow my hair so that I can style my hair in vintage dos. And most pinup wigs out there are of very low quality. I would love to have some wig options from my favorite vintage outlet.
OK, I know I have lost it. Time for me to go to bed and stop making unreasonable requests.

I would also love to see more nightgowns!
I would also like to see more vintage style gloves (not opera length), back in the day women rarely left the house without gloves on

Yes yes and YES Aoife!!! I've learned a lot about doing my hair in vintage styles lately but sometimes I just wish I could throw a wig on and be done with it so I can save 3 or more hours! One of my biggest cosplay idols actually uses wigs quite a bit actually, so if she can use them I can justify it too :)
Also yes Yes and YES to your hat idea too, I would love to pair a 1940's repro hat with one of their Heidi's or Lana's :)
