I'm serious sick of penciling in my eyebrows and have been looking at permanent makeup options.  Has anyone has this done? Do you love it?

I know a few people that has had it done. It looks great at first...but after awhile it looks bad. very bad. I wouldn't recommend it. But everyone is different

My friend Leslie did this, but she's CONSTANTLY filling them in with eyeliner/brow pencils anyways :/ And when she died her hair red, she had to attempt to find a new pencil to match it.... Kinda funny, unless it's you.

i agree with you... i'm sick of penciling in mine too every freaking day - my eyebrows come in blonde, and i'm naturally a redhead, and off/on dye it black... without penciling them in, it looks like they are non-existent. i've been thinking about permanent, but i haven't seen anyone's done that i really really like - i prefer a more natural look, and they look tattoo'd on (which they are, but, in my eyes, they shouldn't look like it!). so anyone else that has an opinion, i'm with ink and pearls on this inquiry!!!

I know someone who got them done and she loves them. Of course you take the risk of them not being even and having that permanently on you, but overall I have heard good feedback. Even after a few years her eyebrows look fine, but she also has somewhat fair hair, so if there was any fading I for sure haven't noticed.

my mom had her lips and eyeliner done, she had an allergic reaction to the ink and it turned out looking awful.  it is not "permanent", you have to get it redone every few months, I had at one time looked into doing cosmetic tattooing as a career.  I would never get it done since I change my hair color so often and like to have my eyebrows match :) If you do end up going for it, make sure you do your research the same as you would for any other tattoo artist, i have seen it often in beauty salons and it is not sanitary, like they are out on the haircutting floor.  Good luck!

I have really light eyebrowns but wouldn't ever have them done permanently. it's just too much of a risk . I had a scar tattooed in a "flesh tone" to make it blend and it was so bad I  opted to have a scar revision done. I recommend semi permanent makeup .. I just recently found this product line and  love it so much I opted in. The LipsSense last 16 hours without kissing off and its not all dry and crackly.( is that a word? ) My hubby is now at a total loss cause he never knows which glass is mine. Christina Aguilera wears the Blu Red and Cranberry, I also have a semi permanent brow color that goes on like eyeliner then  you brush it with a mascara like brush on the other end. It does give a very natural look, but not like a pencil so if you want a "penciled" look this wouldn't work. Message me if you'd like more info..it doesn't come off when you swim etc.

That sounds awesome. Do they have long lasting liquid eyeliner? Whe do you buy it? Online

I don't have my eyebrows tatttoed on,but I do have my eyeliner. it is the best thing I have ever done. I do still apply eyeliner just because I need to get a touch up.The process for eyeliner and eyebrows is alot a like. they use numbing cream when you get either one done usually. Usually it needs at one touch up. I don't know if this has helped you any.

just actually saw this article on another board I'm on its about perm makeup

It's definitely a risk. You have to be very careful who you choose. As women get older and the skin around the eyes soften, it can look very harsh and unnatural. If you're set on it, look at who comes with the highest recommendation and ask to see samples of their work. They should keep a photo album for perspective clients to peruse.

For those with very light brows, get a hairdresser you trust to brush a little dye over them.

I have strawberry blonde hair naturally, coppery auburn hair unnaturally, but dark brown eyebrows. My hairdresser softened them up for me to a more reddish tone.

Ive always thought about it myself since I color my hair jet black and am a natural light brunette.. Ive wondered how it holds up over time. You know how old tattoos done in black ink have that weird faded, kinda blueish color after a while? I mean, what if that happened to my brows?! :0

That does happen to tattooed brows!

Like any tattoo you don't want ruined by the sun, you have to make sure you put sunblock on them. And even then, time changes them.
