Dear Helen,

I am not sure if this will help you. But when this question has come up in the past I always encourage the person to pick a name that relates directly to them. As an example I just decided to play with my name a little bit. My name is Aoife Kenny. So what I did was just play around a bit and I came up with Aoife 24K. And it made sense since some of my all time fave photos of me are when I am wearing gold outfits.

You know what? Picking a name for ourselves is something that we don't get to do in so called "real life". So take your time. Thin of different options. You may even want to ask friends or think of nicknames you've been called in your life.

I agree with Aoife, and you can always "try it on" for a little bit to see if it really does suit you... this is how I ended up at Desilu... it was not my first name, but it is the one that suits me best, so it's the one that sticks.
