Hi,

Benefit and The Balm have lovely retro style packaging and they are lovely products too. Brands that were popular in the 50s were Elizabeth Arden, Max Factor, Elena Rubinstein, Revlon and of course Ponds and Erno Lazlo for skincare. I suppose there would be other brands too, but those are the ones that were super popular. Hope it helped! :)

I will reaffirm what Emily said. The packaging of Besame products is amazing. It is so classy and so classically glamour gal. And their products are really great. I especially love their lipsticks. I was able to get to their little boutique this week and I had a really great conversation with Besame's owner, Gabriela Hernanadez.

I met the creator at a pinup contest I was in and they gave all the girls free lipstick samples and they were really nice! I haven't had the chance to order anything else from them, but I think they'd be worth trying!
