I currently own one very uncomfortable and painful strapless bra that turns into a halter-neck bra. The strap digs into my neck and it feels like its sawing into my skin. By the end of the day I am in a lot of discomfort. I am a 32DDD and really do need to wear a bra under things and I really dont like the idea of wearing a girdle or a corset underneath, because I find them uncomfortable to do anything but stand in. Any help would be really appreciated. Also any locations (in the US) that would have my size would be helpful too. Bra shopping is my WORST nightmare...why cant PUG do Bras?

Marie Jo Avero Contour Multi-Positional Bra

Sorry, I copied text and that's how it came out, lol. Anyway, I have 2 of these and they can be regular or halter...and the straps are so pretty that if they show it's no big deal! Super comfortable and lots of sizes. You can get it online or at good bra stores...not cheap but worth it! Just double check if you order one online, my sister bought me one online and although it looks the same, the straps are regular.

Also, if you've never done so, you should go to a good bra store and get fitted for a bra...I did and the difference was unbelievable!!

Thanks Denna will do!
I always go to fredricks of hollywood and get the convertible bra they are super comfy and you can change the straps to a halter and x back anything really I have even done the one strap from one side to the other for a one shoulder dress....I never have discomfort with these where every other place I have bought from digs into my rib cage or the steps dig into my shoulders and Deanna is right a good bra fitting is a good idea which fredricks does as well.

I know exactly where you're coming from. Last year a friend of mine made me a Captain America: USO Girl costume to wear at Halloween and conventions. I was a lot bigger at the time then than I am now, and back then I could get away with wearing a strapless bra with the halter top on a count of my boobs being bigger.

Well I've lot a lot of weight since then, and when I put on the costume to wear to a convention this past weekend I couldn't believe how much much I'd shrunk. Now with the chest I do have I definitely need a halter bra to wear under the halter top too.

I honestly don't even know where to look for one either, I think I'll watch for the answers you get and see if they can help me in my hunt for a halter bra here in Canada :)

I've never worn a halter bra. That honestly just sounds uncomfortable to begin with, no matter what size a girl is. Would a strapless bra be a good alternative for you? If you get one that fits well, it should stay up and keep you supported. You might have to do a bit of shopping, but once you find one, you'll be happy you did. I got a good one from JCPenney from a brand called Ambrielle. I never thought I'd get one from JCPenney, but I really like it. I had to order online since I sized out of what they carry in store, but it was no problem.
