I think your sizing difficulty is related to the fact that PUG clothing is designed for an hourglass figure, whereas you are smaller on top than on bottom.  Bernie Dexter is perfect for you, since she cuts her clothes to suit her figure which is the same as yours.  I love her clothes, but I can't wear any of them, since my bust measurement at 42 is within an inch of my hip measurement at 41.  When I try on her pants the thighs are always too large on me and the arms on her tops are super-sized to accommodate what would happen to her figure if she gained enough weight to have a bust measurement of 42.  Same thing for me with Bettie Page.  PUG size L is perfect for me in just about every style, but it's because the basic template is an hourglass shape.  Check out "The Pocket Stylist" by Kendall Farr for some great tips about shopping for clothes that fit your body shape perfectly and how to find them.

You're welcome, I hope you like it! I think it's a great book - I've read a lot of fashiony type books but this is only one of two that became a bible. Kendall Farr is a stylist who's worked with tons of people and loads of celeb's so she's been trying to flatter all kinds of shapes for years. She really breaks down how the major clothing manufacturers make their clothing and how to work with the system to find the right fit.
