So what's the best/funniest compliment you've received while wearing PUG clothing?

Hello ladies!

So recently, I introduced my oldest step-sister to PUG's clothing for her Christmas present, and she's completely in love! She ordered the Je T'Adore dress in Olive, and when she put it on her husband's jaw dropped to the floor.

She told me that she never felt more attractive in her 49 years of living, than she did right at that moment...and that got me thinking about all the compliments and comments I've received from family, friends and strangers since I started wearing PUG clothing...and how it's impacted my life - which of course leads to the topic of discussion- what's the best compliment, comment or story you have pertaining to your PUG wardrobe?

:) :) Bonnie

Went to a work dinner in my cherry Heidi. Coworker sees me, says "Hi, Ellie!" looks down, "DAT WAISTLINE GIRL!"

I cracked up!

I was at a bar in Biloxi, MS and this older gentleman pulled me aside and complimented on how beautiful I looked that night.

Made my night!

I get either two kinds of reactions. One is saying that it is a nice costume and the other is that I look very nice.

I was at  a camping supply store wearing my green and lavender malibu tiki dress and the cashier goes to me:

Cashier: Poison Ivy?
Me: Pardon
Cashier: You're a cosplayer yeah:
Me: Yeah cosplay myself
Cashier: Oh well you look cool anyway

I was Joanns fabrics in my Neverland Jenny skirt, when a young lady asked me if I had made it myself. When I told her no, she looked irritated.

Ok, I just had one last weekend. I finally debuted my Doris skirt in Wonderland at a record fair. I was digging through a bin when the vendor got up and came over to me and said "You are the best dressed woman here. I love your skirt, did you make it yourself?" I was totally flattered and pleased with my purchase, it wasn't until after my boyfriend pointed out, "you know he couldn't see your outfit, the bins were blocking you, the only way he saw was to peek under the table" HAH!!!

That's an awesome story Sara! I love getting to go vintage hunting in PUG too, there are always so many priceless reactions :).

It wasn't PUG clothing, but I still feel the need to share.

I was at a beach party with my boyfriend and his family last year, and I was dressed to the 9s in a pinkish-coral vintage lace dress and a pair of black heels from Modcloth, with my hair in curls with a pink hair flower.
I went to go change out of my dress and into my swim suit. I came back in a black and white polka dot vintage skirted suit, and everyone's jaws dropped. His mom and aunts rushed over and started investigating the suit and drooling over the whole look. His dad and uncles just kinda smiled and nodded their approval, while his little cousins just stared and whispered with huge smiles on their faces. But the best part was that my beau just stared up at me in awe and said "Can I just have a calendar full of you?"

Made my entire day :)

I got my Queen of Hearts skirt in the mail yesterday and just had to wear it out, so I threw it on before running some errands. While at the grocery store, a little old lady came up to me and told me that my skirt was absolutely stunning an that she had never seen anything like it before. I really love when I get compliments from different generations in my outfits--PUG is just classic!

I was wearing my Voodoo Vixen top in dark green and Deadly Dames capris in black for a night out at a bar and I had a guy say, "I like that '50s look and that thing you did with your hair!" It was so adorable! (My hair was a simple barrel roll and curls)

Another compliment I loved was when I was wearing my Jenny skirt in the spiderweb print and my black Doris top. A girl rolled down her window and yelled, "I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!!"

I usually alter everything I buy, but not when if comes to PUG. It feels good to have clothes that fits me as if they were made for me - I've never felt so confident and comfortable!

I don't know if I commented on this thread before but I have an addition to make,

I used to work in VS in central London. I wore my 'Jessica' dress to work most days, usually with a full set of What Katie Did lingerie underneath.

I overheard my customer talking to the cashier the one day

''so who helped you today?''
''Oh.... the girl who looks like Dita Von Tease''
