Hi ladies - especially ladies in cold weather states! How do you guys wear PUG or vintage in the winter? I haven't ventured much into that styling for the winter months simply because I would freeze to death. I'd love to see pictures of you how ladies dress in the winter!
The closest I've come is this - which I wore out to dinner - a vintage repro dress w/ tights and a cardigan.
I also styled this full skirt with a turtleneck sweater (and tights again - I wear alot of tights in the winter) for Christmas dinner:

Live in Canada so lots of really cold days between Dec and March. I'm getting two Marlenes .. super nice knit and quite heavy with 3/4 length sleeves. Last winter it was short or no sleeves with a leather jacket as sweater/blazer. Looks very pinup and it's very warm. That was all under my Canada Goose for outdoors of course. Too cold to worry much about looking Pinup getting to and from the car. Would love to get one of the hooded leopard swing coats that was out last year for special nights (and swing dresses) out though.
For 'mild' winter weather (ie cold and wet but no snow), I find cardigans cropped at the waist work well and have a 1950s look with full skirts or any PUG dresses. I don't have many cardigans at this length, and so sometimes fold, iron, then hollywood-tape which ever one suits the rest of my outfit :) Boots and thick tights are also a saviour!
I have lots of snuggly vintage swing coats and capelets. I also wear pencil skirts with tights and a turtleneck or twinset.
I always reach for lolita jackets! http://www.perfectlolita.com/lolita-coats-jackets-c-7.html
Cecilla I LOVE those jackets! They're exactly what I've been looking for to get for this time of year :)
Looking fab doll, i think you have an amazing figure, and your outfits suit you well :) i live in the UK, so its often cold, all the other advice from the ladies is what i would give you, so stay beautiful! :)
Amber you just look amazing! The dress, tights and cardigan are my favourite combination!
Also as usual thank you so much to everyone who's shared advice here. I know that there are a lot of new PUG loving ladies out there (myself included :) ) who really do appreciate all these tips and advice! The more tips like this that we share the better pinup girls we'll all be for it :)
Come to think of it I DO have a Victorian style winter coat that a friend of mine made me for winter Steampunk get togethers that could pass for golden age pinup. I'll post a pic as soon as I can :)
I need to invest in more "cropped" cardigans - so they don't look goofy with my skirts (which are all high waisted).
I live in the north of Sweden. Tons of snow (like over 1m) and really cold (often between -15 to -50 celsius wich is between 5 to -58 farenheit). I really can't dress pretty in the winter, my body hates me if I do... I couldn't afford a long really warm coat. Then everything would be better. But now It's mostly jeans and t-shirt (I hate jeans and t-shirt). Sometimes I have like long johns (are that what they are called?) and double knitted tights but it's still horrible...
And now it's soon new years eve, I have no idea what to wear, I don't have any nice dresses, and I really don't know how to like... Survive...
Tips?
