I would probably throw a Halloween party at an old Victorian estate.  And I'd give all my friends $200 to get their costumes. And if there was no budget I would invite everyone I know.  I would have a DJ, catering, bar tenders, the best party favors, prizes, etc.  

If I was just having a theme party I think I might do a vintage carnival complete with hiring contortionists,fire breathers, cotton candy machines, you name it - have you ever read "The Night Circus"?  I would want to make my own real life Night Circus.  :-)

I saw the Night Circus at the store and it sounded facinating!  Now I'll definately have to get it!  A carnival sounds like fun!  I went to a Burlesque show a few months back and one of the inbetween acts was a girl with hula-hoops.  She was amazing!  She had 4 going at once on one leg, her waist and both arms.  She'd be one I'd hire for a carnival in a heartbeat!
