Introductions

Hello lovelies! Now that the group has grown a bit, I think it may be a good time to introduce ourselves to one another. What part of Los Angeles do you live in? What are you into? What is your favorite PUG item? Etc., etc., etc...

Some things about me; I love all things PUG, I live in the Pasadena area, I have two cats, a man, I am a horror movie fanatic, I am really into craft beer and anything Tiki. I don't have many girlfriends to hang out with but I am always up for drinks and of course shopping. Eventually, I would love to host a meetup for all of us to get acquainted in person. I am really looking forward to this group and I hope you are too. :)

BEER!!! I am not into Belgian beers much. Which craft beer bars do you like to go to?

My all time favorite is Lucky Baldwins in your hometown.

Second fave is Stone Brewery in Escondido, but that is just a bit too far away for regular visits.

Well, you know that Stone opened up their store in Pasadena. Lucky Baldwins is good, the one in Pasadena is a bit better than the one in Sierra Madre but both have good tap lists. I can't believe I found someone else who is also a PUG addict that is into craft beer! YAY!!

I know about Stone opening up in Pasadena, but I've not made it there yet. It is on my "to do" list.

As an aside, I have lost about 20 pounds or so over the last year. I have always been pretty good about taking care of myself. But the one thing that made a big difference was cutting way back on carbs. However, I refuse to cut back on the carbs that are in beer. I'd rather drink water than drink lite beers. My spouse teases me about me trying to cut back and be good while still drinking beer. I try not to be an "Arrogant Bastard" about it though! LOL!

I wish I had room to keep beers for aging. Although every year I do usually save a few Anchor Christmas beers and Sierra Nevada Celebrations for enjoying throughout the year.

That is so awesome that you lost 20 lbs. I think those lost pounds have found their way to my body. LOL! I've gained about 20 lbs. since Jan. of this year. I've had a terrible year which helped me to gain the weight, but, I am back at taking care of myself again. :)

I love all of the Xmas beers that come out, it means lots of barrel aged beer. YAY!

Hi everyone!
I'm 22 soon to be 23 at the end of the month and live in Highland Park. I love vintage and vintage styled clothes. Though because I don't have too many pieces I usually stick to t-shirts and jeans. Cute and comfy as they might be I am (thanks in part to the great clothes at PUG) I am now trying to change if not modify it. I love lipstick and the pinup look but I am what I tend to call "make-up stupid". Meaning even though I might know the basics like lipstick application or mascara I don't know how to do the whole nine yards. My mother has given up everyday make up application so I've been on my own in that respect. I would love to make some new friends who are also into pinup and vintage or vintage styled clothes and rock'n'roll music (my favorite artists being 1. Elvis 2. The Stones and 3. Aerosmith...) maybe even someone who like me is also into classic movies n music from other countries. Like French singer Sylvie Vartan, or Mexican music like I was raised wi th (one of many genres I grew up hearing)... or maybe even someone who like me had recently gotten into kpop.
(I've already been to SMTOWN in may and am planning to go see a group called BIGBANG in Nov as a belated birthday present(
