looking for help for a plus size friend with an unusual body type
Greetings ladies!
My best friend is picking up the pinup girl clothing habit from me and I'm looking for some advice on dresses for her.
She has big shoulders (think swimmer type shoulders lol) and smaller breasts and is super tall. I would guess she is going to be somewhere in the 2x-4x range in PUG.
She is open to getting stuff retailored (she normally has to anyway because her body type is pretty unusual).
I'm not great at helping her because my breasts are big so I have different problems.
Are there any dresses that you think would be workable for her?

Your friend sounds a lot like me! I'm 6ft tall, broad shouldered, 38D, and curvy/slightly chubby. I usually a size 16 and I wear a 2X based on my measurements for PUG. These are the dresses that work for me:
Amelia Dress (I have it in blue floral but it's no longer on the site)
Je T'Adore Dress
Military Secretary Dress (she may have to wear a padded bra)
The Veronica
The Joanie
L'Amour Dress
Jade DressIf she's smaller than me on top, I highly suggest separates or getting the dresses tailored so they're taken in a bit up top. The separates that work best for me are:
The Marilyn knit top
The Vamp top
The Joanie top
Boatneck topSince I have plentiful hips, I always pair the tops with a pencil skirt. I feel best when things are fitted, I don't want my hips to appear any more full than they actually are. I have this outfit http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/vamp-top-in-zebra-print-from-deadl... that I'm sure your friend could rock. Pencil skirts should be her best friend. Also, the bengaline fabric is a lifesaver. She should try to get as many items in bengaline as much as possible because it allows for stretch but holds it shape and hugs everything beautifully.
