Heels-Help me love them! PLEASE!

Hi I'm Ariana and I just joined the group! I have a special hatred in my heart for wearing high heels. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they look, but after about an hour my feet hurt so bad I can not stand it, take them off and then wear holes into my nylons. I've attributed the pain to being a bigger girl and so much weight being put on the front of my feet. I have never found a comfortable pair on my own. The picture below are the ones I wear now (never wear unless I have to, so thats why they're dusty) and they KILL my feet, even with such a low heel. I want to know if any of you have cute vintage inspired heels that you've found are more comfortable than the rest, or that distribute weight evenly. I also have wide feet that are probably around a 10.5, and a lot of dressier shoes pinch my toes/front of my feet. Some tens fit, some don't; some 11s are perfect and some are too big. Any recommendations or favorites?

I am the same as you. The only thing I've found that works is that shoes with a little platform help. But, I'm super tall so it's hard to find heels that have a platform and have a 3" inch heel at the most. Another thing that I cannot live without are the inserts for high heels. I believe Dr. Scholl's makes the gel ones for high heels. They tend to be thick so the tops of your toes might hurt. I would spend some time at CVS or Walgreens and definitely shoe stores to see what kind of cushion inserts they have.

I used to stick to wedges so that I'd have a sturdier base for my large frame to stand on. When I do wear pumps I like to look for a pair with a thick heel and a hidden platform. In genuine leather if I can afford it. The hidden platform makes your foot sit at a less severe angle so there's less pressure on the ball of your foot. And the thicker heel helps me walk with confidence while avoiding the "wobble". My two favorite brands are Chinese Laundry and Iron Fist. The other thing that helps is keeping your feet well tended to. Trimmed nails and soft heels make a huge difference. Let us know how it goes!
