Review of Courtesan Swing Dress in Victorian Rose Print **note: not just for courtesans, what luck!

The day after I received this dress in the mail, I tossed a black petticoat under it and wore it to the office with a little black shrug. I walked into work and one of my favourite coworkers said verbatim “you look so pretty today, I might have to punch you in the face”. At first, I wasn’t really sure how to take it but if you can incite that sort of reaction from someone, you’re doing something right. Throughout the day, I had numerous comments thrown my way, everything from looking like “an adorable teacup” (we’re Canadian, we haven’t been around that long so we’re still learning to use our words, cut us some slack) to an “old school doll”. I couldn’t help myself so I then posted a picture of myself in this divine creation to facebook and got an amazing response to it. I purchased in a size medium and it fit perfectly (I'm 5' 2.5" and measure 37.5, 29, 40 and I felt that this dress hit at all the right places). I wanted to twirl and sashay down the hallways at the office all day but reports had to be completed and inappropriate workplace banter needed to take place so my plans were foiled but I still felt incredibly beautiful the entire day. The only thing I had difficulty with was adjusting the straps but that’s mostly because I’m an unbelievably uncoordinated human being. I’m sure that anyone who uses their digits properly and not like they have arms of a baby T-rex will be absolutely fine. I also didn’t realize when I purchased this dress that the belt was velvety, it was a lovely surprise!

My favourite is when people say to me “Where did you get that dress?? Where can I get it??” because it gives me the opportunity to spread the gospel of PUG; the gospel that makes women feel beautiful, empowered, classy and beyond capable to face the challenges of this world with grace. I had no idea that clothing could make anyone feel that way but I get it now.

“you look so pretty today, I might have to punch you in the face”.

I laughed out loud at that. Minus the punching you part, your coworker was right! This is seriously gorgeous on you. Lisa's comment that you "wear it well" is spot-on. The petticoat adds a nice line, too!

That looks gorgeous on you!  I had been debating it for a while, I may have to indulge in it!

Thank you so much!
