Hi ladies,
I know there are a lot of beauty professionals out there, so what is the right amount to tip the MUA? I'm pretty much always super happy with the experience ... so is it the 'standard' salon 20-25%? What if they come to your house?
I appreciate any insight that keeps me from looking like either a wealthy rube or a cheapie. I try to keep a balance between the two, lol.

I had a favorite makeup artist at a nearby MAC. I absolutely adored her and I loved what she could create with my face , Mac products and her skills. Most MAC makeup applications cost $50, at least that was what I was charged at my appointments. I always gave her at least $20. For most service I usually tip 20% if the service is good. And when service is very good then I give more. It all just depends.
My makeup artist has left MAC and gone independent. This reminds me that I had better just check in with her.
I am a makeup artist and while tips are always appreciated, they're not obligatory at all. I can tell you that most people who do tip, do so in the 15 - 20% range. For on-location services with individual clients, most MUAs will charge a travel fee or roll it into the cost of the service.

So the first picture is natural brows. The second is with the left brow done. What I'm asking you ladies is some critic on it as I've never actually done my brows before I don't want to look silly. Continue
