Ok, Ladies -
As this group grows (holy crapoly, it's growing!! so excited!!), we need to start thinking of the whens and wheres of this meet and greet... With that in mind:
1. Does anyone actually have their tickets yet? (I plan on purchasing mine mid-November, when I get an influx of income from all of the holiday hours I will be working...)
2. If so, are they for the entire event or are there specific days that you will be there? If specific days, please please please leave those in the comments section so I can make a list and determine when most everyone will be at VLV!!!
3. From those who have gone before... Recommendations please!
What events are worth going for?
What events are worth missing?
Where's a great place to meet initially?
Is the flow of the event such that we could go from "X Bar" to the PUG vendor site to the... or is it separated and we'd be better off meeting in one spot and staying there?
Let's start there... the more info I have, the more I can plan the whens and wheres (we all know the whys!) and we can have a great get-together!!
xoxo - Jenn =)

Eeek... Literally just bought my ticket!
I plan on going first thing thurs morning. then get married that afternoon. Which I imagine the hangover will take me out of action for most of friday, but will be back saturday. So a Sat or Sun catch up will be good!
I plan on being there on perhaps the Tuesday or Wednesday to spend some time sightseeing before getting wrecked at VLV.
Our VLV tickets are bought - they get you into all the events (car show, etc) from what I understand. I haven't gotten airfare yet (too early) but we plan on going Wed-Sunday. I thought about staying til Monday but I think by Sunday I will be ready for some sleep in my bed haha. This is my first time going but it sounds like the car show on Saturday is a must do thing.
The full weekend tickets allows you to have access to all of the vendors, the burlesque shows, the burlesque competition, the car show, the pool party on sunday. The best meet up date would usually be on the Thursday as that is the day with the least amount or activities since most people are arriving that day. Be aware that the burlesque shows have become so popular that they usually have 2 on each day now as there are too many people to fit in only one viewing. You have to line up to get tickets to get in so that you have a seat. If you want to sign up for classes, make sure to sign up early as they fill up quickly. There are also a few girls who do hair and make-up in the vendor area that are great but also book up very early, so if you are not good at doing your own hair, its a great way to have a nice one done for you for the day. Bring cash as a good chunk of the vendors only take cash, some will also let you pay with no tax if you pay cash instead of using a credit card. For people who do not smoke, or have not been to Vegas before, smoking is allowed in doors and the Orleans hotel in old and does not have the excellent ventilation that the new hotels on the strip do so it can become a little over whelming when you have to go across the casino floor to get to places because of the tonnes of people smoking all in the same place at the same time. I can tell you that coming from Canada where you are not allowed to smoke inside and also being allergic to cigarette smoke that it was VERY surprising and annoying to have to deal with that all weekend. There are rockabilly bands playing almost 24 hours a day so plan ahead about the ones that you want to see and there are also dancing classes etc.
Hi Odette - do you sign up for classes day of, or do you sign up for the whole weekend on Thursday? The reason I ask is that attending classes are a high priority for me and I was not intending to arrive till later in the weekend, but will try to arrive earlier if it's necessary to.
also, a good idea to save money is, if you have a car or you rent a car or are willing to share a car, it saves lots of money to make a run down to the Target or Walmart that is about 5 minutes away and buy all of the pop, snacks, etc that you would use for the weekend as that can add up very quickly when you are buying them at the hotel. We normally do that, pick up a $4 plastic storage bin that we fill with ice from the ice machine and keep all of the drinks in it, in our room for the weekend. There is also a liquor store called Lee's Liquor barn i think that is about 10 minutes up the strip where you can buy alcohol waaaayyy cheaper then at the hotel and then just make your own drinks for the whole weekend.
