Hi All! Just wondering...it was recommended that I wear a post-prenancy band to help constrict my stomach back to where it was but right after the baby was born, I tried it and it killed my back. Its…Continue

Amazingly enough my post baby body ( 4 months now) looks the same as my pre-baby body except my boobs have gone from a 38DD/DDD to a 38I. Needless to say being a pumping mama is difficult to dress…Continue

Johanne I am obsessed with tutorials so I would love to! It's amazing how one tiny change can make all the difference for different people and hair types/lengths. It's why I will watch numerous videos on the same style. ;-)

Joahanne I have tried, but I still feel as if it's going to fall off, plus I get all awkward trying to keep the bandana on, but I am going to keep trying.

PS I would love to see some easy tutorials as well.  :~)

Also anyone have an ideas about doing the pin up style a little more work apporiate?

I love the stuff on Pin Up clothing, but might not be able to wear it to work so much.  I usually do wear some type of capri with flats and a pin upish top.  But I work in a office and while you can dress casually, showing up full pin up might be a shock(even though I 've gone close)Plus where else would you buy peices.  I live in Canada and can't afford to get all the yummy stuff shipped all the time up here, plus I am still losing weight (almost 10lbs under my pre pregnancy weight :))So I want to wait until I am where I want to be before I go crazy with clothes from there.

Thanks girls!!

Hi, I'm a mother of 2. My little girl is 8 and my son is 5... I am always in a time crunch it seems and I would love to share and learn some good tricks for looking great in time crunch situations!

I've got two little boys (6mos and 2 1/2) and am always struggling to have some form of style, without committing to buying any new clothes while my body is morphing (into what I'm not sure!) and breastfeeding (access is an issue with most of my Pin-Up style clothes.

Big boobs (for me) now, no boobs in 6 months...is my ass going to come back or am I going to have "mom butt" for the rest of my days? lol  What to do???

I am so excited to have found this group! I have two kids (10 year old boy and 13 month old girl), and I try my best to not fall into a style rut like I did when I had my son. I find that keeping up my outside appearance makes me a happier, more pleasant mommy and wife. My time-saving tricks have been using mineral makeup instead of liquid foundation, using matte lipstick (Mac ruby woo) because it stays on really well with little or no need for touch ups, and the good old' bandana or headscarf. I will tease the crown to make a messy-chic bouffant, and tie a scarf like a headband. On a particularly bad hair day, I will do the Rosie bandana look. I have sold most of my dresses on eBay and now wear only separates, mostly button down tops with jeans or skirts (depends if I had time to shave my legs that day), because I breastfeed and practice the attachment patenting method (I plan to continue nursing for a long time). I especially love the Laura Byrnes Black Label shirts that tie, such as the Daryl and Ridley tops. It is do much nicer to unbutton my top for nursing rather than wear traditional (hideous, boring) nursing tops.

tracye,

Try teasing the sides where the bobby pins are going to sit. or use some volumizing  powder.
