I looked up on youtube how to do them and saw your tutorial. It was very informative. I tried it and will post pictures sometime today but I think my rolls were too big and spaced too far apart. My curls didn't last long either. I have curly hair so I thought the curl would hold but only lasted a couple of hours before it wilted. I did the pincurls and let them cool off then backcombed the top a bit and sprayed hairspray all over hoping it would last longer.

awe lupe your so sweet, thank you for watching my video. i hope to do more hair tutorials soon. but cherry doll face hers are amazing and have helped me as well. I always set my pincurls couple hours before I go out & sometimes over night. how did it work for you after you let the curl set ? did they last longer then if you would have just curl them then styled?

Yes they do last longer when I pincurl them and let them set than if I had just curled and then styled. I couldn't sleep with them on the pins bugged me. Any recommendations on a good curling iron? I have an aesthetics license so I can buy great styling tools at wholesale so let me know if you have any suggestions.

im glad to hear the pincurling helped. ;)

curling irons i use and recommend hot tools! i use the one with the clamp. i tried the clamp-less one and didnt like it. 

for tighter curls you can always use a smaller barrel OR if you dont have a small barrel iron , use then one you do have and when you go to pin curl it wrap it over two fingers and then pin it. 

i use either a 1' or 1' 1/2' barrels
