Kaci Hansen is an event organizer, horror host, artist, actress, musician, performer, dancer and self-taught special effects makeup artist, with a passion for all things horror, who tries to find as many ways as possible to integrate her love of the genre in with everyday life. She is particularly well-known for her contributions to the indie-horror community, as well as her amazing pastry creations, recipes and cocktails.
Kaci was one of 13 lucky finalists in Fangoria Magazine’s nationwide search for their 2010 Spooksmodel, where she came in first place in the first fan-voting segment of the contest.
In 2008, Kaci founded the Central Valley Horror Club (the first and only horror-themed organization in Central California), who host many horror-themed events throughout Central California, including concerts and monthly free movie nights in Visalia and Fresno. The Central Valley Horror Club has had an enormous amount of support from the community, being featured in several publications, and continues to offer horror-themed entertainment to the Central Valley today.
In 2009, Kaci developed, administrated and hosted her city’s first-ever Visalia Zombie Ball & Crawl, Visalia Vampire Ball and the Visalia Monster Mash. That year, Kaci also began working with Comic Book Divas on her very own horror-comic, titled “Kaci Hansen Presents…” The comic is available through ComicBookDivas.com. She is also portrayed as the character Gail Force in the comic “A Life Behind The Mask”.
Kaci also founded and dances with Central California’s first and only horror-themed dance troupe, The Horror Dolls, who have performed with local bands, featured at the inaugural Visalia Zombie Ball & Crawl, and performed at the 2009 From the Land Beyond Horror and Sci-Fi Convention in Sacramento, CA.
Kaci has appeared in a “grindhouse” themed music video from hip-hop artist Instant Legend’s video for “In the Ear”, as well as several local independent horror short films. In 2011, she filmed with director and actress Devanny Pinn for her directorial début, CathARTic.
In 2012, Kaci began hosting “B-Movies & Brews” in Fresno, CA, as well as hosting “Friday Night Frights”, the first and only horror-themed television show to ever come out of Central CA, making Kaci Central CA’s first-ever horror host. That year, Central Valley Horror Club celebrated their fourth-annual Visalia Zombie Ball & Crawl, which brought in over 500 attendees from all over California and as far as Illinois.
In 2013, Kaci is busy working on the first cookbook from The Homicidal Homemaker, and is one of three hosts on the all-female monthly horror podcast, “The Flow”. Kaci has also started her own advertising business doing graphic/web design, Raygun Girl Design.
