In May, Micheline and I flew out to Tennessee for five days of sightseeing and vintage shopping. While in Memphis, we visited Flashback and were blown away by all the amazing home decor, clothing and more. Check it out:

Recently I travelled from Memphis to Kansas City Missouri to see my favorite band perform. I went alone and drove 9 hours. I stayed downtown at a lovely Best Western Inn. Downtown KC is a really cool place to visit. Of course, I went shopping before the show. I had done extensive research on the perfect lipstick. My research led to to MAC cosmetics. To narrow it down specifically to Russian Red.
I had read all of the hype about MAC cosmetics. So last October while in New…

I love fashion. Let's just face it I am a self-proclaimed fashion whore. But one can ask themselves "how can I love mainstream fashion but still stay true to my vintage lifestyle?" Ladies it is easy. We will just mix and match pieces from your favorite era and the current trends. I can suffice it to say that if any lady had the opportunity to wear Christian Louboutin's trendy shoes they would jump on the opportunity. I mean nothing is like that red sole and the way these beauties make…

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! This site is amazing and everything I'd been hoping for for the last 10 years! I've been obsessed with pinup style since I was a child, but it wasn't until about 10 years ago I seriously started researching how to re-create it all. I found a few tutorials on youtube and some old vintage hairstyle textbooks on ebay/amazon which allowed me to create my very first victory rolls, but it took HOURS to get it to work and look polished enough to leave the house.…

I'm a newbie so I thought an introduction should be in order :) Well that and I find that I need to vent just a tiny bit.
I'm 35 (next month), wife to a wonderful man for 10 years (this month!) and mommy to a 10 year old daughter and 8 year old son.
However as much as I absolutely adore my family I've learned over the years that they do not completely define ME as an individual.
I lost my job when my daughter was just a few months old so I was unceremoniously thrust…

Ages ago I was looking up how to construct a bustle when I stumbled upon the great crafting project site www.cutoutandkeep.net. After getting sidetracked for hours, I found a particularly magical project : http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/batman-comic-book-flats. …

Unless you have been living under a rock you are aware that the star of the Andy Griffith died yesterday at the age of 86. He was the star of the Andy Griffith show which aired from 1960-1968. The show was based in a South Carolina town and featured the events of the local sheriff, Andy Taylor. The show takes us back to a time when you left your door unlocked and…

It seems like a lot of pinup style ladies love them some Horror.
I have always been inclined to the macabre, and the pinup style. It seems to be very often the case when I meet people. Not sure why they go hand in hand so often? It's very interesting.…

I am a self proclaimed Eyebrow Snob, and as told by many an Eyebrow Guru.
I took a moment out of my week to make a meme to represent how small and major changes can change a persons face drastically. Rather than giving Photoshop eyebrow make-overs to random girls, I felt it would be more appropriate to do so on many famous faces of OldHollywood.
So…
