The Priscilla was a hit right out of the gate when she premiered at the grand opening of the Pinup Girl Boutique. She had girls heads spinning to know her name and to own her. Worn by Doris MayDay and Erika Reno in both a beautiful Lilac and Pastel Turquoise.
The Priscilla features a new textile that we created specifically to have the weight of…

Deck the halls with Pinup Girl
Fa la la la la la la la la!
Holiday in the Park was a success! We had so much fun and holiday spirit at our store for the annual Holiday in the Park on Magnolia! There were drinks, make-up demos by Miss Ruby in our store window, and one of the best parts? We had several lovely ladies donate gently used dresses in exchange…

I have been wanting to write a blog post for ages, I love reading other peoples first introduction to PUG, but I never really thought anyone would be interested in hearing my story until a couple of weeks ago. So now I have decided to take this opportunity to say a big heart felt 'Thank you' to Laura, Micheline, everyone who works so hard behind the scenes at PUG and every person on here that has created such a loving, supportive and uplifting community, that is a joy to be apart…

I've been meaning to post about my amazing haul from Pinup Girl Boutique last month, I can't believe it's taken me so long to post about them!

Every month, Pinup Girl Clothing loves to release a new set of beauties we just have to have in our wardrobe. When I first saw the Lorelei dress at the opening of the Pinup Girl Boutique on Miss Stephanie Castro, I thought it was adorable and couldn't wait to see it production. It wasn't until photos of the new Lorelei dress, I really fell in love with the clean look and the retro feel. In fact, the dress had similarities I felt I had seen an old Hollywood movie and for a brief moment, I…

Hello again! I had SO much fun writing up my first blog post here on Pinup Style yesterday that I knew I just had to sit down again today and write up another. Now I realize I'd said yesterday that my next post was going to be a review of my fall PUG order, but my oh so anticipated day off this week hasn't arrived yet so I still haven't had the time to take the pics…

It's no secret that I am a huge fan of shapewear. If you just glance at my blog 'Fuller Figure Fuller Bust' you will see evidence of my corset addiction. If you read on a bit further you will come across a number if shapewear and cincher reviews, as I tried to find my perfect stomach tamer. I must admit I thought I had found The One. It pulled me in, smoothed me out, yes it was a little tricky to pee…

One of the most beloved things I collect are Hawaiian dresses, be it Surf and Sand, Miss Hawaii or Alfred Shaheen they are my obsession. The construction and cut were nothing like you would find from most designers in the 40's and 50's, so I knew for Deadly Dames I had to meld all my favorite designs into one to create the ultimate dress. I added a bolero to all styles, took away the halter straps and added the ever popular adjustable straps from the Deadly Dames Vamp Dress. I also got rid…

The Veronica has been one of my favs since first catching a glimpse of it on the sample rack and it is finally in stock in all colorways! I like the contrasting blue and red the best! Which ones your favorite? The Veronica is an hourglass girl's dream in curve-loving bengaline with a nipped-in waistband and an adorable heart-shaped frame at the bust. Lots of stretch everywhere but the waist, this sexy wiggle will accommodate a range of bust and hip sizes. Finished off with a charming…

Named for soul diva, Janelle Monáe, this beauty is a modern blend of heavy-weight knit and panels of minimal shine Meredith satin, emphasizing an hour-glass shape. Meredith satin is a new fabric we have created exclusively for this collection. It holds you in and has generous stretch similar to Bengaline and its figure flattering effects. A sculpted bust gives shape, the collar detail creates a flattering open neckline closing with two buttons at the back and featuring a faux buckle…

I wrote this review for the Pin Up Persuasion blog competition a few months back. I got the second place prize and a $100 JBR gift voucher (yipee!).
The competition was to review one peice of vintage or vintage repoduction clothing that you could not live without. After much agonizing, I picked the Birdie because I have worn it on so many different occasions. It can be a casual summer barbecue dress with wedges or a more formal dress with killer pumps.
The quality is of course…

The Netti in Black Cowboy print was my very first dress purchased from Pinup Girl clothing.
The super adorable unique print was what caught my eye at first, then the structure of the dress, with it's full circle skirt, fitted bodice and best of all wide adjustable straps and matching belt! I knew this dress was a great choice to starting my journey into Vintage inspired…
