There’s a lot to be said for a great go-to evening dress. If you have worked all day and are trying to find the energy to go out, the last thing you need is to put on a dress and feel...well...nothing! I fell in love with the Jeanie Lurex tops the moment I first saw them. Unfortunatley they were sold out for what felt like a lifetime until finally being restocked for one last time a few months ago. I wrote this review for the Pin Up Persuasion blog competition a few months back. I got the second place prize and a $100 JBR gift voucher (yipee!).

The competition was to review one peice of vintage or vintage repoduction clothing that you could not live without. After much agonizing, I picked the Birdie because I have worn it on so many different occasions. It can be a casual summer barbecue dress with wedges or a more formal dress with killer pumps.

I seem to have reached a point in my life where, at 22, I am finally happy with my body, found a style that suits my shape and love myself for who I am. Pinup Girl Clothing has played a huge role in this and I will be forever grateful.

I would like to share my journey in the hope that it may help someone who is going through something similar.



I hit puberty early, at age 11. Up until then I was tall for my age and skinny as a rake. But then I started getting boobs, pimples,…
