Slowly.....but surely.............Testing out my blogging chops.
I'm a makeup artist, and I nailed my cat eye liner in five minutes. Not sure if that's a long time for you vets, but for me, its a record breaker. I can nail a cat eye on a client at the drop of a hat. But for me, it can take me up to two years....lol! Red lips are easy........Ruby Woo from MAC! That's a no brainer for me.
My hair is in dreadlocs, small in girth so that it'll allow me to try different styles. I shall post more pics in the coming days and months on my progress (thank you YouTube)! The victory rolls and such, that will take practice that's for sure.
Now to come up with a cute and sexy pinup name. If there are anyone out there that can help a girlfriend out, please feel free to let me know.
Wishing everyone out there a Very Merry Christmas!!!!!
I love Aoife's suggestion of pin-up-ize it... lol, so true. Mine is a combination of many things that seemed to correlate together, and that came after one shot that really didn't fit... and you'll know when it doesn't fit you... I kinda like the "d" instead of the "D," but my suggestion is to go old school girlie and practice writing your name and seeing what feels right... And your right on two accounts - thank god for youtube! and victory rolls are a continuing practice. It's always easier to do on someone else than it is on yourself, especially when you're a perfectionist.... I have given up on cat eyes - it seems that my eye shape does not work well with the cat eyeliner so I keep mine simple (usually, lol)... can't wait to see the progress!!!
Thanks Desilu (great name btw ;)) I actually did the writing trick a hundred times over...lol, and it indeed worked. And I do like the "de" as it looks very feminine and foreign to me...lol. Almost makes me a mystery. I am still practicing my craft in victory rolls, but in the meantime I'm just wearing it curly with a side part. Cat eyes I feel (speaking as a makeup artist) can work on all eye types, its all in how you're applying it, and in most cases, it can be the product you're using. Have you tried using a gel-based liner with a slanted brush instead of just a liquid liner? It glides on easier and its less messy. Also, have you tried to do the "tail" first, then line your lids? I find that once you do the tail first, you can determine how thin/thick you'll have your line that's suitable for your eyes type. You can also determine how small/large you'd like your tail first. Just a thought. :) (:
