Ohhh Lulu is a brand that has been on my radar for quite some time.  Unfortunately for me, I was under the impression that Sarah’s wonderful underthings wouldn’t work for my full bust.  That was until I saw some pictures on her site that clearly featured a larger chested woman.  Curious I contacted Sara and asked if she could make a set in my size.  Sarah agreed under the condition that she could not offer her regular fit guarantee since she has never made a bra for this size before.  She also offered a fitting, which I had to decline due to the fact that I don’t even have a passport and going to Canada for a fitting might be a wee bit difficult.  I placed my custom order and waited patiently for it to arrive.  Some time later I received my lovely set in the mail, and it looked great.

Fit: 

The size for the kickers was spot on, they covered my bum and hit my waist in the right spot.  The knickers stay in place all day without sliding around or bunching.  They are easily the most comfortable high waist panties I’ve ever owned.

The bralette on the other hand was a little off (which is actually my fault).  The cups fit splendidly but the band was a little loose.  My underbust measures at 33inches so I can wear either a 32 or 34 band.  I ended up providing Sarah with the measurements that would best represent an 34F when I should have given her 32FF measurements.  The loose band isn’t very noticeable, it sits flat around my ribcage.  The problem is that when I start to move around the longline band rides up and folds under my breast tissue.   I don’t think that I’d have the same problem with a standard bralette but I still think a 32 inch band would feel more secure.

Construction:

The Noir Set is made out of a thick nylon with stretch lace accents.  All of the seams are stitched flat with a zig zag stitch.  The straps on the bralette have sliders, so you can adjust them to the perfect length for your height.  The panties feature a wide gusset with a midweight knit cotton liner.  I have hand washed this set in warm water with my regular laundry detergent and the fabric hasn’t lost any of its shine or elasticity.  I would not recommend washing this set in the washer and dryer as it is handmade.

Final thoughts:

Even with the slight fit issues I couldn’t be happier with my Ohhh Lulu Noir set.  I actually use this to lounge around the house in when my roommate is not around.  It’s supremely comfortable and wearable on a daily basis.  I also love the fact that the panties have slight shaping properties, I guess that its more like smoothing.  Either way these work great under A-Line shapes like my Heart of Haute Monique Dress.  I’d highly recommend purchasing something from Ohhh Lulu.  All of her products are made to order and offered in both standard and custom sizing.  Most styles are limited edition, so treat yourself to some beautiful and unique lingerie.
