Who's yours?
Something started me thinking today who my pin up inspiration was. I think that it's probably a collective of people really. Not one person inparticular I focus on, I think a mixture of everyone leads to an interesting unique outlook. At the minute I'm taking a lot of my inspiration from Lana Del Rey I know she's not the obvious choice but she's unique, beautiful and confident. She also has a true personal style, I admire that.
So who's your inspiration?

I, too, get some inspiration from Lana.
Uh, let's see, who else?
Elise Archer (she's an Ozzie burlesque performer), Dita von Teese, and Doris Mayday are my biggest pinup inspirations!

I agree with Brandi on Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics era; obviously, Lucille Ball, who was a pinup in her own right and not just a comedienne.... And probably all of ya'll here on PUGStyle... it wasn't until I joined PUGStyle that I really began to own the look that I had been playing with all my life. DVT is awesome, as is Marilyn, Bette, and so many others, but for me, Lucy is the shiz - and very easily my biggest inspiration in defining my style. I'm not the vampy PUGer, but more of the everyday, cute in a retro way PUGer...

Ya know what I have never watched Burlesque with Christina in, I think I need to check it out! She was never someone who was really played that much on the radio or on the TV much where Im from, I feel I have missed out!

Christina's Back to Basic days are what brought me to start loving PUGstyle... Ariana Grande, although she is quite young) is one of my modern day faves as well. I love Vera Ellen... Not exactly a pinup in every way, but I adore her! Plus she's a dancer who always inspired me to practice harder when I was growing up.

I've gravitated towards old Hollywood glamour since as long as I can remember. But growing up I've been influenced by the girls from Grease (Frenchy with her pink hair and Sandy after she turns all badass in particular) , Lucille Ball, Jane Mansfield, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, and nowadays by Doris Mayday's and Ida Van Munster's styles. =) I was always fascinated by Disney's portrayal of females as well, a simple wingtip eye and big flowy hair in a variety of fabulous colors, oh my goodness!
