Inspiration #1; Perks of being a walflower.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower is a novel written by Stephan Chobosky, This book (turned into film in 2012) is about a mentally unstable teenager named 'Charlie'. He describes various life experiences through a series of letters to an anonymous stranger. Set in the early 1990s, the story follows Charlie through his freshman year of high school in a Pittsburgh suburb.
This film shows the understanding of wanting to belong, But also taught me belonging isn't about fitting in, Belonging is about feeling accepted. This movie is listed as one of my biggest inspirations due to the Music, Clothing and Old fashioned friendships that are hard to find in modern day society. And Ofcourse the constant appraisal of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I've never seen the movie (or even knew it was a book, lot alone have read it!), but I'm going to go see if I can get it on Netflix - it sounds like my kind of thing
