Let Me Tell Ya 'Bout My Best Friend.... Jenny! (A Post About How I'm Obsessed With the Jenny Skirt)

So, I've been getting a lot of questions about my petticoats lately on my personal blog, Junebugs and Georgia Peaches, and my instagram regarding how I'm able to get the skirts of the pieces I wear so "full."  I even had a couple of girls accuse me of holding out of them, I would never! haha.  After working on my outfit round-up blog post for the month, I realized that it's not the petticoat, it's the skirt!  (Please excuse the terrible mirror selfies, I've yet to invest in a camera worth my while or make it home in time to take advantage of outdoor lighting with my iphone self-timer haha)

Meet a full-skirt-seeking girl's best friend, Jenny!   Excuse me if I'm re-hashing something a PUG-loving girl already knows, but this is one of those "the bigger to hair, closer to God" type deals!  I haven't found another skirt, vintage or retro reproduction, that produced the amount of fullness this skirt does!  They also happen to be very slimming, especially when paired with the Sean top!  I personally wear a Hell Bunny petticoat, as it borders on being excessively full, again, the bigger the better!
I started out buying all my favorite prints in the Jenny Dress, but realized lately how valuable a tool the ability to mix and match is and how I'm able to dress them up or down with ease.  Needless to say, if any of you ladies out there are teetering on the edge of whether or not you should purchase a Jenny Skirt, DO IT!  You'll absolutely love it!  And the best part is it comes in solids, stripes AND novelty prints!
What about you ladies, what's your experience with Jenny?

The gondola print is by far my favorite and so versatile for the Jenny skirt. (I also have the Havana cool stripes print skirt.)

As soon as funds permit, I'll definitely be purchasing more of them. They're figure flattering and so much fun!

I think my favorite has steadily become my standard black one, if they made a red one I would die. DIE.  I actually want to go back and buy a few of the prints I already own in dress form.

I've actually been hoarding money to purchase a couple of the new harlequin colorway Jenny Skirts and am eagerly awaiting their release! : )

I have the black and the harlequin (old colorway) and I love them both!  Sadly I only get to wear them about half the year because nyc winters are brutal and I don't particularly like the combination of cotton skirts and thicker tights and boots.  I just checked the site and they released the new harlequin colorways so I'll definitely be getting those as well!  Worth the $98 price tag if you ask me.

You look great in all the skirts, by the way, and  I also pair mine with the sean top (I just got my 3rd one, I absolutely love them)

I want a Jenny skirt, but they don't come in my size from PUG yet. I know I could wear shapewear, corsets or something like that but I absolutely refuse to be uncomfortable in my clothes.

I had to clear out my Jenny skirts.  I love them but they just don't love me.  They actually make my hips look bigger (I think due to the pleats).  So bummed because the prints are ADORABLE!

Love all of the skirts you have, you look great in all of them! Hoping to splurge on one when I go to Viva! I love your blog too, by the way!

Lady K, I hope to get my hands on one of those old colorways one day!  I can't blame you for that choice, I'm not a big fan of long skirts _ thick tights either.  I got a couple of the new harlequin colorway skirts when they were released, I'd been hoarding money since they were announced haha.

And thank you so much, I hope so see the Sean top in more colorways one day as well because I LOVE it!

Rebecca, I tightlace, and while I admit it was a bit uncomfortable before I finished seasoning,  I now feel totally comfortable in it and don't really think about that fact that I'm wearing it daily.   I don't think anyone should have to be uncomfortable in their clothes. )

Amber, so sorry to hear that, I saw you rocking that Harley dress and you look amazing in it, such a little waist!  So it's really unfortunate they were unflattering. Bummer!

Jennifer, thank you and thank you some more, they really are amazing skirts.  And I'm also totally flattered that you looked at your blog, it's my creative brain child haha.
