Just like every other vintage loving lady, I find myself obsessing over old photographs of woman done up. Whether it be to the 9's, or to a ballgame, I love seeing what color combos they came up with outfits, their jewelry, shoes, accessories, everything! Back then they didn't have to 'try' to look 1950s... they just were- hah!

One thing I always notice but usually stayed clear from was the greatest of all accessories - the hat. I always thought they didn't look good on me, but come to find out that majority of woman think the same thing! But when you see photos of woman wearing these vintage hats , EVERYONE looks amazing and that's a fact! Something must of happened in history where woman just stopped wearing them.

I have made it my personal resolution this year to wear more hats. So far, 5 weeks into the year I have worn a hat 5 times. A think a hat a week is a good goal! I instantly feel classier, ladylike, mysterious even sometimes spy-like ( it's the right hat!) and I without a doubt get a compliment on it ( even though I have been telling myself for years I look silly in them or that they're over the top- we must get that out of our heads!)

I know it sounds silly, but consider doing it! It adds a little pep or swag in your step <3

I have been wearing hats for years. Men's hats.
As much as I don't like being looked at, I just enjoyed watching people's reaction. They just couldn't stop staring at me in amazement, regardless of sex, age or education.

I got so many kudos for sporting it that I understood this was really my thing

I am not trying to take over this post of yours Doris but since I enjoy wearing hats I figured I would post my latest hat outing. Yesterday I went with a couple friends to the Huntington Library and later went to a tea room. This was my ensemble: the hat is English, the dress is Bernie Dexter, the bangles are Indian.

I love hats too!! My local used clothing store had a bin full of vintage hats so needless to say I bought a lot of them lol.  I am in need of hat pins though.
