Hi,

I have been away a little lately, started a new (although only temporary) office job, hitting the gym 2-4 nights a week and blogging like a mad woman. Time just goes in an evening, much quicker than when I'm at my desk in the day at work for sure!

Some of you may remember me putting the link up to my blog when I first put it together in January.

http://appletonpug.blogspot.co.uk/

It started as a place to showcase my cupcakes, a bit of glamour, fashion (our kind), beauty, all round girly hub basically. As some of you know, I love burlesque, so I thought I would introduce everyone to something I absolutely love and try to help it become more mainstream and convert people lol. I have been doing interviews with the top ladies in the UK, finding out all the stuff we really wanna know, the fashion, the make up tips, their beauty secrets etc as opposed to all questions being the typical show girl stuff we can easily find out answers to on google! Now this has gone really well and proven to be a hit, so I took the next step...lets interview some US greats too. I managed to secure an interview with Perle Noire and my latest, Catherine D'Lish! This is just amazing for me as these ladies really are the best of the best! Based over seas and put the time a side for me! Great stuff.

I was online the other night checking my blog and saw my views were going up, I had 2000 since January when I started, but my timer now said 8,000...then 9,000...then 10,000...I thought something must be wrong! It does crash on me from time to time so thought it must be having a moment. I then noticed it wasn't  broken.....Dita Von Teese the queen of burlesque and style icon herself have shared my blog on Facebook! Between her share and my Catherine D'Lish interview I am now at nearly 20,000 views! I finally feel like I must be doing something right as a blogger! I have some pretty awesome interviews coming, with hopefully some people you PUG ladies will know for sure...as well as an LA fashion icon, and hopefully the queen of burlesque herself. I have alot of great things planned for my blog, from more and more fashion/style updates, interviews with amazing people, wonderful business/organisations show cased for the world to learn about, beauty secrets and more!

Here is the link to check out the blog for yourself:

Now it looks like I will run another UK Meet and Greet in the Summer...we just need to start sorting dates, locations etc for those who want to be involved. I will also fully sort the LA Meet and Greet for later this year...at the moment I wont be able to actually be there myself unless I can sort the funding someway somehow but we'll have to wait and see on that one. I know the girls are looking to book up VLV for next year too so I will def get there for that. So some exciting things that of course will all appear in detail.

I wanted to share the excitement with you as for my Dita is just my style icon and it was very encouraging to see that she liked what I had done. Also to ask for some feedback...I haven't really had any feedback on the blog. People have told me they like it, the interviews are more interesting as they are more personal and not all about performing etc. I would love to know your thoughts, good or bad really! It's nothing fancy, I can hardly use the computer so the fact i even have a blog amazes me at times! I'd love to have proper links to the Facebook/Twitter pages and generally have it looking smoother etc but that requires a techy! Also because I have only been doing it since January its still new, not as many posts or followers as i would like but I know this will come with time and experience. One day you never know I could be a professional at this! Maybe even get published as a writer!

Thanks everyone, your feedback is much appreciated!!

Exactly, she may be a burlesque performer but she is so much more than that, a total style icon, vintage queen, fashion designer with her capsule collection, lingerie range and cardigans, beauty icon, make up range, false nail range, beauty book coming out, so many strings to her bow. To have a lady like this share my blog asking people to read it, well for me that was the day i actually felt like a blogger, an unpublished writer with a decent audience! But always room for improvement and its very new so i wanna get this right!

That is amazing!!! Congratulations, and just.. WOW!!!

And your blog is super cute, by the way! I don't have much time to really read much right now, but it looks really easy to navigate, which is always a plus.

Congratulations Leanna! That's incredible news and I agree with everything you said about Dita. I'm also not surprised that she shared your blog though, you're an amazing writer and you've done a beautiful job bringing your loves and your passions to your readers. Between your blogs and your meet & greet organizing, you really do so much for this community :)

You've actually given me an idea, a friend of mine is a burlesque performer/promoter looking for media publicity for a new monthly show she's starting this spring. I think I might ask her for an interview, but only as long as you don't mind me borrowing you're awesome idea :)

Congrats again!

Thank you very much ladies! I am so glad you like it! It's still new and I have alot more great things to come so hopefully will get better, and always looking to improve etc. Of course not!!! I encourage it completely, I'd love to see what you do with it all!

Just to let you all know, my second to last blog post is an interview with Cameron Silver, Fashion philanthropist and founder/co-owner of pre-loved luxury boutique Decades, based in LA. Any lover of Vintage fashion will love this. He has exclusive stock of Dita Von Teese capsule collection and has dressed a whole host of A-list stars for red carpet events!
