Its the sale of the century and Im not there.

I salivate at the thought of tops for $15 and dresses for $60, the very thought of going fills the cockles of my heart with joy. Alas it can never be for I am a continent away and I doubt the authorities at immigration will let me pass for the one day I want to be there. I dont think they would accept "sale of the frikkin century" as a legitimate reason for this Aussie re-entering the country again so soon after my visa has expired. 

I regret that I missed the store opening and now the yard sale.  Should I dare to dream about my attendance I know that my entire savings would be spent on PUG. I can imagine myself climbing over people and jumping over grannies to get to the sale. Just imagine my suitcases packed, nay stuffed with PUG stuff, arguing with the airline staff that because Im a gold member should get extra extra baggage allowance for all my PUG stuff. Im picturing an extra 3 suitcases in addition to the 2 I am already allowed......

On second thoughts although I am saddened by the lack of my presence at the yard sale, my dignity and my wallet thanks me. I shall be quite content to continue to shop online, constantly adding and taking stuff out of my basket then leaving them there for a week to see if its still available...then waiting for a *sign* that the items should be mine. Followed by ordering the items after a glass of wine.....(just after payday).

To all the ladies that are going I wish I was you.

For the rest of us plebs who arent going...well our wallets (at the very least) will thank us.....AND we still have the comfort of shopping in our own homes, in our own times and not compulsive shop. As a bit of cold comfort we can opt to use the 20% off coupon...or if like me your an aussie you have figured out that you might as well buy $300 worth and get free shipping (which is more than the 20%).

Dont get me wrong I still wanna go....Im just not going to get too upset over it.
