Hi guys, it's me Tahitia and it's been way too long. I really need to come back and blog here more often! I have a new review up on my Great Lake Pinup right here site but I wanted to give you all a rundown as well. In short, there’s no other way to start a review of any Heidi Dress without saying go buy this Heidi… right now!
I couldn’t be any more serious when I say that the Heidi has always been and remains the definitive pinup dress in this pinup’s book and the cool mint with black trim edition is no exception.
Like all of it’s sisters before it, the Heidi Dress in Cool Mint from Pinup Coutureis Pinup Girl Clothing’s re-imagining of a classic 1940’s wing dress (which you may remember is something that I’m into) in a heavenly comfortable stretch cotton sateen that’s always a pleasure to wear. The absolutely amazing cut accentuates every size of hip and flatters every possible size of waist while somehow managing to fit every bust in just the right way.
You don’t have to take my word for it, I’ll defy anyone to find a picture of a woman wearing a Heidi dress from Pinup Couture who isn’t absolutely rocking it.
What’s made the Heidi line so legendary and addictive to pinup enthusiasts isn’t (only) the amazing style and fit, but the incredible collection of colours and patterns that they’ve been sold in over the years. While the cool mint edition isn’t a new release I was able to finally able to snag one for myself and I will promise you that the colour is every bit as rich and vibrant as it looks online. I’ve found the mint green colour to be perfect for the spring time, already having worn it to a Swing Dance social and my husbands family birthday party. In both cases I paired it with PUG’s Super Cute Knee Length Petticoat in Black as well as their Perfect Pinup Shrug in Black Ponte.
You know when your seven year old niece tells a grandparent how much she loves her aunt’s new dress that you’ve made a good decision :). I don’t see my Heidi collection ever being complete as long as PUG keeps on release new prints and colours, and I certainly won’t be resting until I find myself one of the burgundy coloured dresses with the decorative bow on the bust but in the mean time I can guarantee that the Heidi in cool mint with black trim will be just the perfect spring time addition in your pinup wardrobe.
So there you have another clothing review from yours truly. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading it and I hope that everyone has a wonderful week ahead. I’ll see you next time!
Take care and hugs,
Tahitia :)
You're very welcome Kelly & I'm glad to hear you liked the post! I absolutely recommend the mint for any growing Heidi collection :)!
You look great! This Heidi in Cool mint is on my "do buy" list. I have a Heidi in Grey and Pink and I love it
Thank you Sweet PinupGirl! I really need to pick up the one in Grey and Pink at some point, it's very cute too :).
Thank you Ocia, I'd highly recommend it if you're on the fence about getting one :)!
