Modeling and being apart of the PUG family, I've gained a great sense of confidence and made great friends. Laura Byrnes has created a fantastic way to show ALL women how to feel good about themselves and feel confident. I'm a different woman today than in my younger days in a sense that I see my friends and other women for who they are. Some of this is thanks to my faith in God and trying to learn to love and encourage everyone, thanks to experiences with (former/current) friends (both positive/negative experiences), thanks to my mom <3, and thanks to the PUG team. I've spent time with the women of PUG and watched how they treat other women, encouraging them and lifting spirits. That's the way it should be, building each other up and NEVER tearing each other down. What a great society to be apart of! I never want to leave.

Yesterday PUG posted a new plus size model who looked beautiful and you could tell was confident in the dress she wore (Lucky Green Erin Dress). Not too long after that I received a text from one of my very good friends who said to me, "OMG I just saw that PUG has larger plus size clothes and they are amazing. I want to be a model". I read this message and smiled; she saw an image of herself in that model and suddenly her spirits were high. And YES, that dress will look fabulous on my friend and any other woman who wears it. Encourging.

Again I think to myself, how happy I am to be apart of something that promotes such positivity in others. I am grateful to be surrounded by some of the best women. Women of all colors, shapes, and sizes. We are friends because we're not the type to tear each other down and pick each other apart but friends because we know how to laugh, cry, comfort, encourage and lift up one another. That's friendship and that's love. I believe EVERYONE deserves that. Get some.

As friends we also need to hold each other accountable, sometimes we slip and begin to judge, get frustrated and out comes the negativity. When we witness this with each other, we need to put the clamps on it and be reminded to love and encourage. It happens, but we need to fix ourselves because negative remarks cut like a knife. No one needs to feel put down and if this is happening to you, you might need to find new friends. And if you're the person putting others down and judging, SHUT UP! Look at yourself and figure out what on earth is so superior in your being to make your mouth spew such negativity? Nothing. I've had a lot of friends hurt from others and even family because of comments on their appearance. I hurt for them and I've been hurt too. Please think about what you're saying to others, is it going to lift them up, or tear them down?

Women and men, be reminded that inside of every one of us is a person with real feelings. Each of us is fighting our own battle with self-esteem. What we all forget is that we all are people of value and we're all 'WONDERFULLY MADE'. Like Pinup Girl Clothing products are wonderfully made, they're all designed to be worn by ALL women who are wonderfully made. We're not cookie-cutters [BORING], we're all different shapes, sizes, and colors. We're all beautiful and we need to make a point to spread the encouragement.
Thank you Pinup Girl Clothing for being a positive influence on so many including myself; I'm honored to be apart of the PUG family. And thank God for the guidance in loving others - to the best of my ability! I'm trying here!

You're so right.  I feel like many of the people who are commenting on what body types are and are not healthy are missing the point.  It has nothing to do with how you should treat a person.  I don't know why people think their nasty points are valid or why they feel the need to hurt others.  It will always be a mystery to me.  Thank you for the great post.  The people of PUG are very much needed in this world.
