Belly Dancing

Any of you ladies into belly dancing or ever wanted to try to belly dance? I've been learning to belly dance for about three years now and it is the BEST workout I have ever had. I've been out of dancing for six months, but, I will be going back to classes in October. The classes are for anyone (man, woman, teenager), any shape, any size, and any fitness level. The instructor caters to your needs and helps to build your strength. You will not regret taking one of her classes, she is amazing.

The instructor's name is Haley and she is also a fellow PUG addict, she teaches all over (South Pasadena, Camarillo, Glendale, etc.). I will be signing up for the South Pasadena classes which begin on Oct. 11th. If you are interested in taking one of her classes, check out the info below.

Well, at this point I don't belly dance. But I can shimmy with the best of them. I have been doing dances of Eastern Europe for longer than I can remember. I am kind of like a Gypsy/Rom Queen of the Dance Floor.

BTW, my mother was a belly dancer! Maybe it is time for me to get out my finger cymbals, put a sash on my hips and take some belly dance lessons.

We'd love to see you shimmy in class, Aoife! I have not been dancing for quite some time (6 months) and I am totally out of shape right now, but, I am ready to get my shimmy on! Can't wait.

You trained with Princess Farhana? How awesome! Was at the Dance Garden? I've been dying to take one of her classes. I am so excited to get back to BD, I can't wait. I started taking Yoga again this week too, I am ready to lose the weight gain and get my strength back!

Oh boy, Yoga is kicking my butt big time right now. I feel fantastic! I may have to take a class with the Princess, I've been dying to take a class with her. :)

Ow wow Auburn! I have been a long time Mesmera student - well, I still am - and danced in Dar Maghreb several times before it changed management.

I teach ongoing fitness Belly Dance in the gym 3 hours/week, but it is in Bakersfield and take several classes and workshops in LA. I dance in shows, festivals, private parties all around greater LA and San Diego including Fresno.

Tonight, there is a special show produced by Princess Farhana at the Moun of Tunis restaurant of Hollywood. There will be several dancers including me and the dinner is very very very reasonable priced for African delicacies of 4 courses.

Anaheed's Swap Meet. Anaheed is one of LA's most known teacher and has been dancing for many many many years. She organizes this lovely swap meet and day of dance twice a year.
