So what's the best/funniest compliment you've received while wearing PUG clothing?

Hello ladies!

So recently, I introduced my oldest step-sister to PUG's clothing for her Christmas present, and she's completely in love! She ordered the Je T'Adore dress in Olive, and when she put it on her husband's jaw dropped to the floor.

She told me that she never felt more attractive in her 49 years of living, than she did right at that moment...and that got me thinking about all the compliments and comments I've received from family, friends and strangers since I started wearing PUG clothing...and how it's impacted my life - which of course leads to the topic of discussion- what's the best compliment, comment or story you have pertaining to your PUG wardrobe?

:) :) Bonnie

Awwww! Well, you are a princess, aren't you?! :)

Most of mine are just regular compliments, but visiting the East Village in New York I:

1) got a marriage proposal from a drunk dude in my Anchor Netti and

2) Had Rihanna's 'Diamonds' sung at me by a woman after a declaration that my friend and I looked beautiful when wearing the fetish print Courtesan Swing.

New York, you are an entertaining place.

I wasn't in PUG but most of the hundreds of people who live at my apartment complex know I dress vintage inspired. One day when I was walking down the stairs to meet up with my boyfriend a guy in an adjacent apartment yelled out, "Party like it's 1956!" which I thought was a pretty fantastic way to cat call someone haha

That is fabulous! I think that's my new catch phrase lol

Two words:

"That figure!"

1st time I wore my Cherry Heidi out, this woman walked by and tugged on the hem. I looked back at her and she told me she loved the print and hadn't seen a dress like it in a long time.

Today, I wore the Birdie in Red Floral out to pick up my paycheck and deposit it.
Now, I don't know if it was a combination of the dress and my scooter that made this elderly gent smile so wide, or if it was just the dress, but he stopped what he was doing and watched me ride past him in the parking lot. I truly believe I made his day today haha.

Not to mention my fiance loooooooves when I dress to the 9's in PUG.

The best compliment I've ever received was when i was at Ziggy's venue in Winston Salem, NC...I was about 23 years old and had my red Lucy dress and my black cherry cardigan on at the Reverend Horton Heat show...I got there early and found a spot next to the stage and right in front of Jimbo...if you're into RHH you know he's one of the most bad ass stand up bassist's ever!!!!....anyway after the show (which ended up being a set about 45 mins long) Jimbo comes up to me and kisses my hand, gives me an autograph and invites me to come hang out with the band (couldn't do it though...lol) but it was the most awesome thing ever!!!! I felt so giddy!!!! like a school girl....:)

"You should be painted on the side of a B-52 bomber"

Hello again ladies and gents. I'm new here and I love it already. I have recently started dressing vintage or vintage and pinup inspired and I'm so happy I finally feel like myself. I've always had nice comments about my style, but since I started dressing like a woman from the 40s or the 50s I've had strangers on the street coming up to me and admiring my style. Even my doctor asked me if I "popped" out of a movie! It feels so nice when people acknlowledge your style identity and admire you for it! :)

great complement!

I guess vintage is kind of pricey but you can sort of get the look by just going with a nice pencil skirt, cardigan, and button down top (all fitted) for a cheaper 'everyday' type vintage. Marilyn and Audrey Hepburn were both well known for wearing turtlenecks and capris all the time so that is also a 'cheaper'  vintage look you can look into :)

Check out vintage stores, second-hand shops, antique stores, and consignment boutiques! One of my favorite summer dresses is an authentic 50's swing that I purchased for $2!!! It's like treasure hunting- you never know what you'll find! :)

From a random guy who I was walking past in downtown Nashville, "Love the pin up look! Know that guys still really appreciate that look..."

=)
