Hello ladies!
So recently, I introduced my oldest step-sister to PUG's clothing for her Christmas present, and she's completely in love! She ordered the Je T'Adore dress in Olive, and when she put it on her husband's jaw dropped to the floor.
She told me that she never felt more attractive in her 49 years of living, than she did right at that moment...and that got me thinking about all the compliments and comments I've received from family, friends and strangers since I started wearing PUG clothing...and how it's impacted my life - which of course leads to the topic of discussion- what's the best compliment, comment or story you have pertaining to your PUG wardrobe?
:) :) Bonnie

Awww THANK YOU! You are really being too sweet right now, I'm almost crying :) I used to have a bunny too when I was a girl, and he's still special to me even after all these years. I can't say that he was the inspiration for the costume though, but it's always great to remember special memories like that :)
Yes I did have a little bun-bun, and I still miss him every day. Tux and Cinnamon are adorable names, I'm sure your little guys are just as cute as their names soudn :)
I figured you knew my bunny wasn't the inspiration for the bunny costume :) Though to be honest every time I went in for a costume fitting for the bunny outfit I did think about him, and wish that I could hold him and pet his furry white back just one more time.
Isn't funny how something like a Halloween costume can make you miss something even more than you already do.
Here's to our bunnies and the love they've given us! :)
I had a little rabbit when I was around 7 and don't remember her much, except her name was Daisy.
Then three years ago one of my friends had a baby bunny he got from his parents and when I saw it I instantly fell in love.He ended giving it to me."Her" name was Pistachio (turned out to be a boy, lol). I loved that rabbit,he was quite a character and I hadn't had a pet for two years.Sadly something happened and I only got to have him for about 9 months. But I will forever love that rabbit.Hopefully someday I will have another bunny..and a bird..and a cat..and a horse.haha
More or Less my husband got the compliment!
Complete stranger: "My gosh! That is one beautiful woman you have there! Great job, hold on to her!"
I was wearing the Dixiefried tiki bustier & burgundy pencil skirt!
My bf got one like this too! I was wearing the Mimi dress some stranger told him he better hold tight to me
My favorite is when older gentlemen say things like that to my husband! Especially before we were married cuz then I would nudge him about proposing haha ;)
What a sweet topic! So great so read about all the compliment PUGsters got from stangers or loved ones alike.
It kind of saddens me that some people needs to built up the nerves to tell you something nice about your looks, but I guess I can understand that they don't know how it will be taken. I love to make fashion comliments to complete strangers, but sometimes people looks at me weird, as if I was expecting something from them.
Ok, back on topic. I guess the dress that got me the most compliments from strangers is the Heidi in black cherry print, but the best compliment I got was at my best friend's wedding. I was wearing the red Ava, and one of her friends told me "Well, of course, the pretiest girl today was the bride, but you were a close second. You look amazing and don't even let anyone tell you otherwise". My best friend celebrated her 2 years wedding anniversary last month, and people still talk to me about that dress and how great I (and my boobs) looked in it :)
That's a really awesome story, especially that you're a part of the guests wedding memories 2 years on! The Heidi dress is always perfect for making a lucky girl wearing it look fantastic :)
Bonnie,I hope that you don't mind me expanding this topic a little bit. So far I have only worn one of my PUG outfits out in public. I did get some nice compliments. But the best compliment I've gotten in the last few months was when I was wearing a Forties style dress from reVamp Vintage. The dress is called The Natalie. I was at a dance performance at the Disney Hall in Los Angeles. A woman sitting next to me said "You look really good. In fact you are looking absolutely gorgeous!" Needless to say, I was on Cloud Nine for the rest of the evening. Here is a picture taken earlier that evening.
Jessica, I thank you. My tripod and camera also thank you.
The best compliment I ever received was on New Years Eve last year. A complete stranger ran up to me and told me to "Stay right there...I've got to go get my friends...". When she returned she wanted them all to take photos with me and kept saying "You cannot be real. People don't look like you in real life. You look as if you just stepped off of a 1950's pinup calendar. Are you a celebrity? You can tell me...it'll be our secret." It was really sweet. I hated to disappoint her when I told her that I was in fact, just a "regular girl".
Oh wow Delilah! That's the kind of compliment that could keep a girl smiling all year round :)
It always makes me happy to know that there are people out there that can be so nice and kind to complete strangers!
