Huntington Honeys, a Meet Up day at the Huntington Library and Gardens on 10/5

I have tried arranging a few Meet Ups in the past. Every time I have had at least one person show an interest and show up. But it is a little discouraging planning things with a low turn out. However I will give it one more try. To me The Huntington is one of the treasures of Southern California. The gardens are so beautiful and the library/museum exhibitions are excellent. There is an entry fee, but I am a member and have a number of free admission passes.

I am asking about this way in advance just to see if anyone is interested. Please let me know if you are. I was pondering both the Saturday and Sunday afternoon of this weekend. But I have decided on the Sunday. We could meet about 1 PM. But of course the details can be figured out later. Just let me know if any of you are interested.

Gabby, I spent this afternoon thinking about this idea and I have come to the conclusion that Sunday would probably work best. So I have already edited my original post. I kind of envision this as kind of like Dapper Days or PUG Day at Disneyland, except with culture. We can visit the galleries, explore the cactus displays, see the Japanese and Chinese Gardens all while looking beautiful. We should bring our cameras and cell phones for picture taking. And afterwards, if anyone is interested, we could go to the Langham Hotel bar for drinks in an elegant setting.

I am going to have ten passes that I can give to those who RSVP. First come, first served. And I have figured out a name for this event: Huntington Honeys.

Please count me in for this. I've never been and always wanted to go. That's the Sunday before my anniversary so I believe that will work well for me.

If you and the other ladies wouldn't mind, I would love to bring my husband. I assumed it was an ladies only event. But if it's OK I would love to have a pass for him too.
