I love using Coconut Oil in and on just about everything you can imagine!
It's wonderful for dry skin, and for those with skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis or keratosis pilaris (also known as "chicken skin") and rosacea.
For using on your skin - I like to rub it on my trouble spots before a shower and then shower/exfoliate as usual, but you can also use it on dry spots without washing it off. Just an fyi: coconut oil has lauric acid which can help reduce redness (so if you get red spots, this might help calm your skin)
For hair/scalp, I like to use it as a deep conditioner. I dampen my hair then massage it into my hair/scalp and leave it on (covered with a shower cap) for an hour or so (you can leave it on as long as you like, without any issues - even overnight) - then I follow my usual shampoo routine. Coconut oil is fantastic for dry hair/scalp - really.
Internal use: Also, I add 3 tablespoons of coconut oil to my green juices every morning. It's a great source of natural energy (I no longer drink coffee). It's great for riding your body of toxins/viruses, weight loss, helps with digestion, is great for hearth health and studies have shown it has fantastic abilities to help protect against cancer.
You can "google" the benefits and uses of coconut oil until the cows come home (I really hope you do!) and you'll find numerous ways to use it for your skin, hair and internally.
Let's share ideas! What are some other ways you all like to use coconut oil??

This definitely is one of the oils that I use for my hair and skin :) I plan to make vids discussing more about coconut, other oils, and more :)
I actually started using it on my eyebrows. Yes, eyebrows.. hehe.. I noticed that my eyebrows were thinning out, slightly fading. I started applying CO on my eyebrows about 3 weeks ago and have noticed them to be fuller, longer and somewhat darker.
I also use Vitamin E on my eyelashes.. just a bit. It helps with growth. It doesnt make them grow longer it just helps them grow longer.
I use CO as a body scrub along with sugar and also to shave my legs.
I've never heard of using it on eyebrows - that's a fantastic tip! Do you leave it on them for any specific amount of time?
overnight. I think the thinning out and fading has to do with my breastfeeding. It's the only reason I can think off. At night after washing my face a just rub a bit on the eyebrows and leave it in overnight. It has never cause any breakout issues for me.
I sometime use it to moisturize my face, but I never thought to use it for growing my eyebrows. Yes pregnancy/breast feeding does great and crazy things for the hair and body :)
Ava you can buy coconut oil most anywhere these days! Your local grocery store, health food stores or your local Whole Foods, Sprouts, Trader Joes, HEB markets, etc. You can even get it at places like Target. One tip - be sure to get certified organic, so you aren't putting gmo's, or pesticides in or on your body.
I love, love, love, LOVEEEEEE coconut oil. I get it at Trader Joe's - you can get a pretty big jar for $7 I think. I put it in my hair every night and I put it on my face before bed. It doesn't cause break outs for me at all. In fact I've had fewer break outs since using it. I haven't tried ingesting it yet but I'll have to start putting it in my smoothies.
